Project Manager

Gisella Vetere
team leader of team C4 Lab at ESPCI

  • Graduated from her bachelor in Cellular and Molecular Biology in 2004 at the university of Rome Tor Vergata in Italy.
  • In the same untiversity, she obtained her master’s degree in Neurobiology and a PHD in neuroscience in collaboration with University of Toronto.
  • Started her current position of team leader at ESPCI in 2018 and also teaches neurobiology at the same institution.
  • Won numerous prizes and grants for her research, such as the ANR JCJC, ATIP/Avenir, NARSAD Yonge Investigators, Aspirational Neuroscience Prize and the Brain Star Award.
  • Studied the role of structural and functional synaptic changes in the process of memory consolidation, and also artificially engineered specific neurons to create a memory without real experience (see main publications).
