Week 7
17.03.2025
The printing failed and it has been launched again. In the meantime the tikiwiki website was modified and a lot of details were added to it. The work on the poster is still in progress.
18.03.2025
The socket for the probe has been printed and the next parts were launched. We were able to close the socket and it perfectly fit the probe. Additionally one part of the socket was also printed and we removed all the supports and cleaned it. The second part has been sent to be printed and we can start the experiment as soon as the printer finishes the job.
The brief meeting with the project manager was conducted where we drilled the hole by making the necessary threads.
19.03.2025
The printing failed again and the second part of the socket was sent again to be printed. Several tasks were done:
- The existing literature was studied to get the idea how to make a data analysis and how to conduct the experiment.
- The Tikiwiki website’s design was modified and some information was added to it.
- The graphical abstract was created for the poster.
20.03.2025
The final part was finally successfully printed and we could assemble the whole structure. The socket fits well to the leg and the sliding mechanism works perfectly. We were able to conduct the experiment and took the measurements:
- From the frontal side - 3 trials
- From the lateral side of the calf - 3 trials
Then the recorded videos were analyzed by Matlab code and we got the graphs for the soft tissue displacement relative to the bone.
21.03.2025
All gathered data now is under post-processing. We are working on decomposition of the graphs to get quantitative results. We were able to shift the graphs so that it will not have a negative value and the displacement is clearly visible in a scale from 0 to max value. Moreover, we wrote a code to detect the peaks on the graphs (local maximum) which is essential for further decomposition.
